Matinees which were in fashion many years and which were the focus  of interest of the  public and occupied an important  position the entertainment and music world, came back with an event  organized  by Maltepe Municipality. The matinee held at the Çınar district Istanbul Yaren Wedding Salon by  Maltepe Municipality and Family and Social Policies Directorate was the focus of female residents. 

Mayor Ali Kılıç was a guest at the matinee which covered the districts of Altıntepe, Çınar, İdealtepe and Küçükyalı. Taking an individual interest  in all female attendees Kılıç commented “Women between the ages of 7 to 77 from our districts are here. As Maltepe residents we don’t  like osyentatious entertainment. This event isn’t ostentatious but an event that enables  us to come together for a social chat. Matinees such as this are very important for us because they enable people to get rid of the stress of the day, to understand the importance we  place  on people and also for us to understand how much of  our municipalities services are getting through to the public. You, the Zübeyde Hanım’s  of  now and the future who are enlightened and contemporary and know what is rightfully yours and who will each give birth to Mustafa Kemal’s have the  power to change the world and also the menfolk. Enjoy yourself”.  Afterwards information was given on work being done by Maltepe Municipality’s Prof. Dr. Ioanna Kuçuradi Women’s Consultancy Centre aimed at women which gives service  on  a  7/24 basis, and also work on increasing female employment,  “Entrepreneurial Kitchen” project, workshop results, kindergartens, handicapped services, home care and health services.
